Wendell H. Fields
Executive Director
Linkedin
Wendell H. Fields’ love for the game of baseball began in 1973 and has spanned more than 52 years. His passion for the sport is matched by his dedication to teaching its fundamentals and values to the next generation. As commissioner of B Buzz Baseball League, which he re-established 13 years ago, Wendell has helped develop not only strong athletes but also strong citizens. Under his leadership, B Buzz Baseball League goes beyond the diamond. The program emphasizes leadership, sportsmanship, and character development while also providing resources and wraparound services for players, their families, and the wider community. By using baseball as a positive outlet, Wendell and B Buzz guide youth away from negative lifestyle choices and instill lessons of self-esteem, teamwork, collaboration, and responsibility—the very values that shaped Wendell in his own youth.
Wendell’s professional career has been just as dynamic. He has served as a mortgage franchise owner, mortgage underwriter, director of marketing, and drug treatment counselor for Key Decisions/Positive Choices Drug Treatment Program. Today, he serves as Community Resource Director at Families First Health Services, where he continues his lifelong commitment to uplifting people and building stronger communities.

After attending Kent State University in the early 1980s, Wendell expanded his knowledge of baseball while preparing for a successful career in business, leadership, and management. Yet, above all his professional and athletic accomplishments, Wendell is most passionate about his role as a father, grandfather, and mentor to the youth of B Buzz Baseball League.
